嗨，Saburov！终于又等到您来中国了，太激动了！记得您第一次来是2009年吧，那时候我们邀请您和Pixelord去上海的Shelter俱乐部，还有南京的Castle酒吧。那时Dada还没开张呢。
能聊聊您第一次来中国的体验吗？为啥您总是喜欢回来？
DADA:
Hi Mr. Saburov! We're excited to have you back in China, finally! I think the first time you came out, it was in 2009, we invited you and Pixelord to Shelter club in Shanghai, and Castle bar in Nanjing. This was before Dada existed.
Can you tell us about your first experience coming to China? Why do you keep coming back?

嗨！
第一次能来中国，我真的特别期待，也想多走走看看。我记得是坐火车来的，花了我整整6天呢！中国这地方大得很，也很有意思，所以我就打算多去几个城市看看。Shelter是个特别棒的俱乐部，那里我认识了好多人，而且我们不只是认识，还成了朋友呢。这种事不是经常能遇到的。从那以后，我就知道我和我的团队不会只来这一次。
Hi!
I was really excited to be able to come for the first time and wanted to travel as much as possible. I think I came on the train, it took me 6 days! China is very different and huge so I decided to visit as many cities as I can. Shelter was a great unique club where I met so many great people, not just met but we became friends, which does not happen too often. I knew since then that it would not be the last time in China for me and my label mates.

DADA:
Can you tell us the history of your label, Hyperboloid. How was it started, and how has it evolved over the years? Where else have you guys toured?
“
Hyperboloid最初是作为莫斯科一个电子音乐节的一个平台，那是20年前的事了。从那以后，它就开始蓬勃发展，对俄罗斯的电子音乐圈产生了很大影响。大概在2011到2014年间，Pixelord和813常在欧洲演出，遇到了很多志同道合的音乐人，这也是我们发布了很多国际制作人的音乐，并且获得了全球粉丝的原因。我们在欧洲巡演很多，说说我们没去过的地方可能更容易——葡萄牙和法国，不知为何就是没去成。那时候我们最常去的是波兰和德国。我们还去了美国大巡演，在10个城市演出，去了20个城市！我们还去过日本、泰国、越南……但我们还想做更多呢！
Hyperboloid started as an outlet for an electronic music festival in Moscow, 20 years ago. Since then it became prolific and defined a large part of the electronic scene in Russia. Pixelord and 813 were always playing in the EU around 2011-2014, meeting like-minded musicians, that’s how we released a lot of international producers and gained a following from around the world. We have toured in Europe extensively, it’s easier to say where we have not been -- Portugal and France, for some reason. Most toured were Poland and Germany at that time. We went to the USA on a big tour, played in 10 cities, visited 20! We've been to Japan, Thailand, Vietnam… But we still want to do more!

您来中国好几次了，带来了像813、Pixelord、Summer of Haze这样的表演（还有其他的，提醒我一下）。在这些巡演中，您有哪些最难忘的经历？（除了上次Summer of Haze 2017年来北京Dada，碰巧遇见我妈妈那次就不用说了）。
DADA:
You've been to China several times, with acts like 813, Pixelord, Summer of Haze, and others (remind me). What were some of your best memories on those tours? (Besides meeting my Mom when she was visiting last time, when Summer of Haze came out to Dada Beijing in 2017).
“
我们经历了各种各样的情况，大多都很有趣。中国蓬勃发展的夜生活给我们留下了深刻印象。当我们来到成都的时候，推广人带我们看了那个有很多酒吧和夜店的大楼，我想是保利大楼吧（？）。这种情景我们以前没见过。我去了几家看了看，至少有5家我非常想留下来，音乐太棒了！我还对那些场所在音响系统上的投入以及你能在哪里找到地下俱乐部感到印象深刻——大型购物中心里，但隔音做得太好了，我在外面都听不到，这在我去过的大多数地方都是闻所未闻的。
认识了很多新朋友，我现在还和很多中国的朋友保持联系，比我在其他任何国家认识的人都多，当然除了我自己的国家。还有食物。没有当地朋友的帮助，我不可能在中国不同的地方体验到这么多不同的美食。
We have been in different situations, mostly fun. We were really impressed by the thriving nightlife in China. When we came to Chengdu, the promoter showed us the building with tons of bars and nightclubs, the Poly building, I think (?). This we haven’t seen before. I checked some of them and I would definitely stay in at least 5 of them, the music was great! I am also impressed with the effort the venues put in their sound systems and the places where you can find the underground club -- big shopping malls, but so well sound-proofed, I wouldn’t be able to hear it from outside, which is unheard of in most places I’ve been.
Meeting new people who I’ve become friends with. I’m still in touch with more people from China than from any other country, besides where I’m from of course. Also, food. I wouldn’t be able to experience so many different cuisines in different parts of China without local friends.

在Covid疫情期间，俄罗斯的音乐场景和夜生活是怎样的？
DADA:
How was the music scene, and nightlife, in Russia during the Covid pandemic?
“
疫情限制时有时无，而且各地都不一样。回头看看，我们还算应对得不错，学会了不要提前计划太多，适应不断变化的规定。即使到现在，我们也能在短时间内推广一个像样的活动，因为我们有邮件列表、粉丝，还有大约30个城市的推广人，我们可以提前一周通知就去。
但还是有很多大型活动、音乐节被推迟和取消了，我对那些因此损失金钱的推广人表示同情。到2021年，当大部分限制被解除时，我们最终还是在一些最大的音乐节上表演了。
Covid restrictions were on and off and were different from place to place. In retrospect we did OK, learned not to plan too big in advance, adjusted to ever changing regulations. Even now we can promote a decent event in a short time span, because we have mailing lists, followers and promoters in about 30 cities where we can just go with a week’s notice. A lot of big events, festivals, were postponed and cancelled and I sympathize with promoters who lost money because of that. We did eventually perform at some of the biggest festivals in 2021, when most limitations were lifted.

You're coming out in December with Summer of Haze, and January with Broosnica. You're doing a multi-city tour around China. Tell us where you're playing, and did you choose those cities for the food or the clubs?

说实话，当我们和小伙伴讨论去哪些城市的时候，我说我终于可以吃到正宗的食物了哈哈。Summer Of Haze已经连续巡演10年了，但他这次比平时还要激动。对Broosnica来说，这将是他一生中第一次出国，所以我确定他会记住这次经历的！
我们计划在12月21日和Summer Of Haze在上海的All演出，然后是12月23日北京的Dada，12月29日成都的Axis，然后我们将在12月30日和31日去深圳，那里有一个新俱乐部叫WHY。目前，我们已经确认了1月12日和13日在杭州的Loopy和北京的Dada与Broosnica的演出，但我们希望在这些日期之间能在更多城市与Broosnica一起表演。
I have to be honest, when we talked with the guys about the cities we are going to, I said that finally I can get some proper food haha. Summer Of Haze has been touring non-stop for 10 years now, but even he is excited to go more than usual. For Broosnica, it will be his first time abroad in his entire life, so I’m sure he will remember it! We are scheduled to play with Summer Of Haze in All Shanghai on Dec 21st, then Dada Beijing on Dec 23rd, Axis Chengdu on Dec 29th and then we will go to Shenzhen for Dec 30th and 31st, it's at a new club called WHY. So far, we have Loopy Hangzhou and Dada Beijing confirmed for Broosnica on Jan. 12-13 but we hope to play more cities with Broosnica in between dates.

What food and drink do you like on Christmas / Winter Holidays？

如果新年前夜没有工作的话，我会吃小柑橘、俄罗斯沙拉和克瓦斯(Kvas东欧的一种发酵饮料)！如果我在DJ台上，那么什么都有可能，但大多数时候根本不吃东西 :( 只喝饮料。

回想起来还是蛮好笑的，但当时确实有点害怕。我喜欢一个人旅行，所以有时会走错路或迷路。我和Summer Of Haze去长城，然后我甚至不知道怎么走到了一个没人的区域，可能是通过某种原因开着的后门，当我们走过那个区域时，看到了很多露天围栏里的熊盯着我们。我不知道它们如果想过来的话，能不能真的来到我们面前，可能不能吧，但那感觉真的很奇怪。一个空荡荡的区域，没有人，只有熊。后来我们就悄悄地从它们身边走过，离开了那个区域，那是一个正在维护的露天动物园吗？鬼晓得了...
That’s fun to remember but was a bit scary at the time. I like to travel on my own, so sometimes we can go the wrong way or get lost. Me and Summer Of Haze travelled to the Great Wall and then I don’t even know how got to the area with no people, maybe through the back door that was open for some reason, as we walked past the area we saw a lot of open air enclosures with bears staring at us. I don’t know if they could get to us if they wanted to, maybe not, but it felt really weird. An empty area, no people at all, just bears. We quietly passed them by and exited the area, was it an open air zoo closed for maintenance? I don’t even know.

我还主理#INTERNETGHETTO，目前主要是Soundcloud上的一个博客，但我喜欢很多厂牌会在正式发布前把他们最好的音乐发送给我。我挺推荐Fuselab，比如AL-90的低保真阴郁电子音乐美学。我非常喜欢YEAR0001以及他们发布的所有东西。顺便说一句，Bloodz Boi的作品就是在那儿发布的。SVBKVLT很棒！还有Quit Life, Know V.A., Koloah, Caterina Barbieri, Lee Gamble, upsammy——我今年非常喜欢听他们的音乐。当然还有Summer Of Haze, Broosnica, Bad Zu, Pixelord, FMSAO——他们是我的朋友和厂牌同伴。
I also run #INTERNETGHETTO, that is mostly a blog on soundcloud at the moment but I like how I got many labels to send me their best music prior to the official release. I can also recommend Fuselab for lo-fi gloomy electronica aesthetics of AL-90 for example. I really like YEAR0001 and everything they release. Bloodz Boi’s release was on there btw. SVBKVLT is great! Quit Life, Know V.A., Koloah, Caterina Barbieri, Lee Gamble, upsammy -- thoroughly enjoyed their music this year.
