The successful candidates will undertake a research project with support and mentoring from the CDH team. Applicants should demonstrate how their work intersects with, and develops, the expanded field of the Digital Humanities, DH methods, empirical work, critical theorization, and research focusing on key issues in digital transformation as it affects cultural forms and practices, societies, archival issues, and knowledge production and dissemination.

We will accept proposals for projects of all kinds. We particularly welcome proposals exploring the following areas:

Applicants should indicate resources they would draw on at Cambridge to develop and deliver their project. They should demonstrate that their proposed project can be delivered within the three-year time scale of the post.

Applicants may have doctoral qualifications in Digital Humanities, but applications are also welcomed from postdoctoral researchers in cognate areas (e.g. including English, History, Digital Media/Film Studies, Linguistics, Computer Science, Sociology, Music, Philosophy, Modern Languages, Art History, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies). Applicants should demonstrate an engagement with DH issues, familiarity with DH methods, and an understanding of the changes in epistemic cultures digital transformation produces.
