新冠肺炎疫情期间,家长怎么办?

What Should Parents Do during the COVID-19 Outbreak?

密切关注孩子健康状况,如果有出现发热、干咳、乏力、鼻塞、流涕、咽痛、腹泻等症状应立即就诊,并按要求及时向学校反馈孩子健康状况以及就诊情况。

Pay attention to the kids’ health. Take them to hospital if they have a fever, cough, weakness, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat and diarrhea. Inform the schools about the kids’ health and the treatment they are receiving as required.

教育孩子在咳嗽或打喷嚏时,用纸巾遮掩口鼻,避免直接用手遮掩口鼻;如果没有纸巾,用肘遮住鼻子和嘴巴,防止飞沫传播;不要随地吐痰,应将口鼻分泌物用纸巾包好,弃置于有盖垃圾桶内。

Educate the kids

➢To cover their mouth and nose with a tissue or flexed elbow when coughing and sneezing to prevent the splattering of droplets. Avoid covering their mouth and nose with hands

➢No spitting

➢To wrap oral and nasal secretion with a tissue and throw it in a covered dustbin

在家尽量开窗通风,保证室内的空气流动,尽可能不开空调。

While at home, open the windows as often as possible. Ensure adequate indoor air circulation. Avoid the use of air conditioning as much as possible.

疫情期间少出门,如出门必须戴口罩,不去人多拥挤的地方。

Minimize unnecessary outdoor activities during the COVID-19 outbreak. Wear a mask if having to go and avoid crowded places.

教育孩子勤洗手,在不确定手是否干净之前不要触摸眼睛、鼻子或是嘴巴。洗手时应当采用洗手液或肥皂,在流动水下正确洗手,推荐使用洗手“七步法”。

Educate the kids to

➢Wash their hands frequently

➢Avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

➢Wash hands with liquid soap/soap and running water

➢Follow the seven-step hand-washing method

家里的消毒物品,包括84消毒液、酒精、药物等要放置在儿童取不到的阴凉处。

Household disinfectants including disinfectant 84, alcohol and drugs should be kept out of children’s reach.

疫情期间,孩子会有紧张或不安的感觉,家长要做好孩子的心理疏导,告诉孩子现在疫情情况,并让孩子知道只要积极主动做好必要的防护就很安全,让孩子不要害怕。

The kids might feel nervous or uneasy during the outbreak. The parents should provide psychological counseling to the kids. Tell the kids about the epidemic situation. Reassure them that it will be safe as long as they proactively take precaution measures and there is no need to be panic.

天天面对孩子,家长应调节好情绪,充满爱心,避免在孩子面前暴露负面情绪,多传递积极的信息给孩子。

Being with the kids every day, the parents should regulate their mood. Be a loving parent. Don’t express negative emotions in front of the kids. Pass on positive messages to the kids.

为了让孩子在家不耽误学习,除了学校布置的线上教育,很多家长让孩子参与其他线上学习班,学习很重要,但要注意用眼卫生,避免孩子长时间使用电子产品和电脑,坚持一天两次做眼保健操,爸爸妈妈也要做好表率,在家尽量少用电子产品。

Many parents have registered extra-curricular online training classes for their kids in addition to the online courses offered by the school teachers. Studying is important to students. But pay attention to the kids’ eye hygiene. The kids should not use electronic products or computers for a long time and should do eye exercise twice a day. The parents should set good examples for their kids to follow and minimize the use of electronic products at home as much as possible.

疫情期间孩子宅在家,光吃不动,小心孩子们在这个漫长的寒假期间变成小胖墩,开展家庭或室外体育运动是有必要的。返校后,可适当增加室外体育活动。切记,家长们也要动起来。

During the outbreak, the kids stay at home. Eating too much and exercising too little may result in weight gain. Be careful that the kids may become little fatty at the end of the long winter holiday. It is necessary for the kids to do exercise at home or go out for outdoor sports. The kids may increase outdoor sports after going back to schools. Remember that the parents should do exercise as well.

注意孩子居家安全,孩子为了出去玩,眼巴巴在阳台眺望外面的世界,家长们要小心孩子高空坠落,还要注意煤气中毒、用电安全等。家里环境比较小,运动空间有限,运动时要注意不要摔倒和磕碰,家庭预防伤害很重要。

Pay attention to the kids’ safety. The kids want to go out and play. They like to stand on the balconies to look at the outside world. Be careful that they might fall from high buildings. Prevent gas poisoning. Use electricity safely. Prevent injuries caused by falling and bumping into objects when doing exercise at home since the space is limited. It is very important to prevent home injuries.

规律生活,保证充足的睡眠和注意营养。疫情期间避免熬夜、暴饮暴食、不吃野味,食物煮熟煮透。多吃蔬菜水果,食物要多样化,多喝水。

Live a regular life. Get enough sleep and pay attention to nutrition intake. Avoid staying up late and eating or drinking too much. Do not eat wild animals. Food must be thoroughly cooked before eating. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Food should be diversified. Drink more water.
